William Joseph Flux Fanny Pack – First Look

June 25, 2011 in Gear Reviews

The Willy J Flux Fanny Pack in all it’s glory!

A new feature from William Joseph Fly Fishing is Zip-No technology.
Rare earth magnets are used in place of the zipper as seen in the picture above.
It creates a perfect watertight seal. Perfect area for flies, tippets or leaders.

Willy J, who else?

Above the magnetic drop-down pocket is another good sized pocket.
Along with the rest, this one does not come with the Zip-No technology,
but does have a watertight seal with the zippers.

A closer view at what the zipper seal looks like

The biggest pocket in the pack. Tons of room and plenty of ways to
organize. In addition to all the space, there is individual mesh
pockets for whatever you desire.

Same pocket, but a view from the top. As you can see, there is
one more zippered pouch. This would be an ideal spot for anything
needing a safe water-free cubby.

This is one of my favorite features of the Flux. I am a fanny pack guy and also
have a a Willy J stripping packet. It creates a couple small problems when
both in use. This pack combines the two. The last zippered section of the pack
has a pop-out stripping basket! Very well sized, and hides away well.

Both sides come with water bottle holders and straps to secure them in place.

Even more zippered pockets, great placement.

Comfort on your waist.

Another one of my favorite features is the support you get from the neck
strap. I always have to much crap in my pack and it tends to slide down as
the day goes on. Thanks to Willy J, I won’t have that problem anymore.

Breath-ability

Compresses great when empty.

The Flux comes in sage and blue.

The Flux sells for $119.95, a small price to pay for quality, comfort, and performance. For more information, shoot over to William Joseph Fly Fishing.
